About Urban Learners Driving School
I’m Daniel Cadger, proprietor of Urban Learners. I’m a fully qualified ADI driving instructor and a member of the Driving Instructors’ Association (DIA), the largest professional body in our industry.
Urban Learners Driving School is covered by full public liability insurance.
Urban Learners is so called because we recognise the importance of preparing new drivers for the challenges of driving in towns and cities. We teach students to drive in real conditions, on the kinds of roads they are likely to encounter after they pass their driving tests. We also teach students to drive routes that typically feature in the driving test itself.
We offer tuition for students wishing to learn to drive manual transmission and/or automatic transmission cars. (The driving test for either will qualify the student to drive electric cars as EVs do not have gear sticks or clutches.)
If the student is unsure which to learn, we will advise and assist with the decision as required.

Daniel is a perfect fit as a driving instructor as he provides help and support both in and out of the car. A recent student of Urban Learners, Sam Halle-Hinxman, is also a kart racer. Not only did Daniel teach Sam how to drive on the road and supported him through to passing his test at the first attempt, he also supported Sam with his racing. Sam, who races in Rotax Max at the British Championship events, Super One and Super Prix events, was representing the UK at the T4 Karting World Finals in Valencia, Spain, and Urban Learners helped Sam with financial support to compete at this prestigious event. Sam went on to finish 17th of 108 entries and won the Nations’ Cup as part of Team UK.
